Local dogleg analysis service description

The wellbore position accuracy is critical in drilling operations both for the reservoir management and for collision avoidance.

The Local Dogleg Analysis service enables to assess local doglegs between wellbore survey stations, therefore providing a more accurate wellbore trajectory with all the implications it has on the reservoir engineering and on the collision avoidance process.

We provide a more realistic well trajectory taking into account the Slide/Rotate pattern of a Motor BHA or drilling with an RSS BHA and taking into consideration the operating parameters from the field (WOB, Toolface orientation, activation level of RSS…) and the lithology characteristics (UCS log, Formation Dip & Strike) to evaluate their impacts on the trajectory construction between two measured surveys.

Used in a real time fashion, the Local Dogleg Analysis service allows you to correct for the Slide/Rotate pattern and enables to optimize the drain placement through the pay zone.
