Dynamic vibration analysis service description

The drill string is a very long and flexible structure. When rotating in a tortuous wellbore, it is submitted to irregular action-effects. Since the motion is never uniform and regular, it creates mechanical vibrations which can lead to equipment failures, reduced performance or worse.

The dangerous vibrations occur for specific RPMs, called “critical RPMs“. Thanks to the Dynamic Vibration Analysis service ans by modeling the natural frequencies that have to be avoided, we identify safe range of operating RPMs and optimize BHA design when needed.
